Pip Spiro is a Australian artist best known for her vivid, large scale still life and botanical-themed paintings.
Inspired by her natural surrounds and a Queensland upbringing, Pip’s art-making intention is to give space for the simple appreciation and connection with beauty.
After a degree in Business Management from the University of Queensland followed by working in advertising agencies in Brisbane and London, Pip began her pursuit of watercolour and art-making in 2011. Since then, her practice has continued to evolve and her work has been a part of many group exhibitions along the east coast.
In 2018, Pip’s first solo show ‘All Her Glory’ held on James Street in Brisbane was a complete sell-out. Since then, the demand for Pip’s paintings has continued to grow, with much of her practice committed to commissions from corporate, government and private entities. Her original works are held in collections all over the world.
in 2021, Pip created a textile collection in collaboration with her sister-in-law and highly regarded interior designer Anna Spiro, for Anna Spiro Textiles. The collection called ISLET is inspired by little islands around the world, and comprises seven designs available in both fabric and wallpaper.
