About

Working from my studio in Brisbane, I am an independent artist best known for large-scale watercolours depicting organic subjects such as flowers, shells and fruit.

Watercolour has been a lifelong love for me and after a degree in Business Management and work in advertising, I started painting full-time in 2011. My earlier botanical-style work featured in exhibitions like ‘Botanica’ at the Royal Botanic Gardens of Sydney and has been acquired for the collections of the Mater Mothers’ Hospital and The Sunshine Coast University Hospital. I have since had work exhibited in many group and solo shows including national art prizes across Queensland and in Sydney. My practice is now dedicated to the creation of original work which I release and sell to customers all over the world.

More recently, my paintings have evolved to layered and less conventional compositions that retain my preferred subject matter of organic and natural objects; but explore them in contexts that are more imagined than from life.

Working in watercolour on paper is central to my practice. The simplicity of pigment, water and paper combined with the challenge of the medium present as endless possibility to me.

My art studio is nestled into the heart of our home where I live with my husband and our three young children. Together with raising our family, the work and life of being an artist is my great joy.
